I am truly sorry to post it here. I couldn't find a sub-forum for airbnn.
I am looking for some advice on "how to" with airbnb. I need to find out a given area, how many properties are on airbnb and where the hotspots are.
If there is anyone who would like to share their knowledge, I would really appreciate it.

Although it will depends where are you located, there are some standards in STR.
Location. Condition. Nearby things. Seasonality.
This would be the best way to find STR.
Are you planning on buying, building, arbitrage or manage?

Yes, I am planning to buy a property; I am aware of Location, condition etc. I wanted to know whether there is something like SEO on Airbnb.
one thing I didn't look into on your comment was the "nearby things", I think that plays quite a big role too, thx for that

Airbnb itself does location recommendations on its website for what it believes are hotpots near you. You could bookmark a couple listing's you like and monitor how often they get booked up.

My pleasure. Hope it helps.
The way we approach it is like the Amazon of short term rentals.
The title and pictures is the way to sell.
Reviews help a lot to raise prices and increase occupancy

Is this something on the map? Haven't seen this option where I have the properties

There is not much SEO, you need to have the best price according to the place and location and always check other airbnb for prices or maybe promotion they provide, airbnb provide you perks like A/C, something to cook, wifi, cable, netflix all those things add a plus, location is importat because you will need to plan ahead on season and events around your area to make reservations and in those moments you need to pay ads facebook is your best option for airbnb.

Wow, that's really good info, I appreciate all the feedback.

Hello,
I don't know in which geographical area you're doing your market research, but you should also take legislation into account.

For example, in Spain, in some communities, AirBnB is highly regulated and very heavily taxed, which makes it more expensive to go to an AirBnB than to a hotel.

This is also the case in France: we're currently trying to regulate the market. And other European countries are starting to follow suit, as housing has become a living hell.

So, depending on the country (not everyone is concerned), pay attention to the law.

As for the SEO of your future AirBnB, it's very simple: you search the Facebook groups dedicated to tourism in your area and check the requests for accommodation.

Get yourself listed on TripAdvisor, because I'm pretty sure I've seen AirBnB or similar accommodations there.

Still depending on the country: for Spain, on real estate websites, there are a lot of people posting purely seasonal rentals. So, turn to this type of site.

Finally, why not put together a little tourist website to showcase the area where you'll be doing your AirBnB? I'm assuming that you're targeting a tourist clientele and not a business clientele. If that's the case, make people want to come to your area and offer them not a holiday home, but an experience.

Don't hesitate to let me know if I haven't made myself clear.

You're welcome :)
I have a tourism website and I'm a moderator in several Facebook groups dedicated to tourism. It's a sector I've come to know well. Don't hesitate if you have any other questions :)

This is defenetly true.
I heard that Tenerife now has a law that in condominiums it only allows to do STR if the whole building is of the same owner.

VRBO is TripAdvisor's portal.

Does the website with nearby attractions works? We had someone write articles but just brought windows shopping ppl...

This is way beyond my primitive knowledge now. I literally can picture the whole thing. So much info.

In my case, I'd say yes. We have a clientele that is increasingly looking for “authentic” attractions: markets, cultural festivals, hikes and so on.

Of course, I also have people who just want all-inclusive hotel recommendations, possibly with catamaran outings, but I'm seeing more and more customers looking for something other than the usual tourist circuit.

And there's no secret about it: the more content you have on your main theme, the better your SEO. So, even if I only get one or two clicks on the ostrich farm, it's still good for my Google ranking.

Once you've finalized your project, set up a partnership with brands. As I was saying, more and more people are looking for an experience.

There's a very funny novel about this: My Not So Perfect Life by Sophie Kinsella.

The pitch: a marketing junior gets fired from her agency. She moves back in with her father, who wants to set up a guest house. She goes into partnership with her father. Okay, it's a girly novel, but it's very funny and, above all, it gives a lot of ideas for tourism marketing.

I have the idea of starting a site full content oriented on my region site with attractions on the spot.

Have created a list around 500 different. But I was not sure how to approach it as our properties might be 300km away of the place (someone will not stay on the oroperty). Do you have any suggestions?

Hmmm ... I admit I don't have this problem because my zone is an island :D
But, I'd say you need to include a transportation tab or section. In all my articles (it raises the word count by the way, so it improves my SEO), I almost always include a "how to get from A to B" section.

That's a good idea! The direction from a main point to the attraction would help. I'm thinking that for some I can do walking, bike and car using gmaps directions. (Not sure if they change much)

@Alpha1404 It is really helpful to know the materials here. I think if someone is starting out, this post would be really handy. Once again, thank you to all who contributed.
