Hey,

I've been getting into marketing and I have two questions that have got me stumped.

How do I prevent my emails from getting flagged and shutdown?

Where do people get high quality email lists, and whats most effective way of verifying them?

Best way to get a list is to build one (legit WH way)

Scrape one (dark way)

Crappest way to get a list is normally to buy one.
Look at it this way - if someone had a decent 20,000 name list - and could make 50 sales on a mail-out and pull, say, $2,500 doing it... once a week...
Why would they sell it to a third party (who would likely ruin it - get the legit buyers to put up spam filters etc) for anything under $25,000?
That's just selling the farm for a months rent!

Fact is they wouldn't

The only lists you can buy are crap.
To send out to a decent list get a decent program (interspire or whatever) and do it properly.

Of course if you've used Aweber/Getresponse or whatever then you'll have a good list that will be a damn site more responsive. Possible to make a living with a couple of thousand on a list If it's a real, signed up, market orientated and pre-warmed list.

Scritty

You should use double opt in list and a good auto responder like Aweber, this way your email address won't be flagged.
