Linkspun is not worthless.

You just have to look around and pick what you think it's okay for your business - either domains with high PR, low obl, etc.

Also, you can discuss with wm directly there - almost all of them have tons of sites - so you will get your link to a network rather than on a single site.

At any rate, I offer a homepage backlink on a really strong site. PM me for the details.

Using this technique, it allowed me to rank a 100% new site from nothing to page 1 in 3 weeks. Getting 1k uniques per week and they're buying. Can't ask for anything better guys.

To me, Saying that linkspun is an option is outrageous. I spent almost 1 year trying to exchange links on linkspun.

Some people say there are quality websites on this website. I have never found it.

Here are my arguments:

  • Number of links per page: Let's you have 5 links on your page and the other webmaster's page has also 5 links. When you exchange the links it is great. You come back 1 month afterwards and you find on the same page from this particular webmaster 200 outbound links but on your page there are perhaps 10 links. So you send much more google juice than you receive.
  • Quality of pages: I have seen there all possible stuff. Links stuffing in the footer. Side wide links on the right and left column. One page had 300 outgoing urls in a column under "blogroll"
  • There are many websites that are down after 1 or 2 months.
  • Many websites aren't optimised and take 4 to 5 seconds to load
  • Many don't know anything of Google guidelines. They don't put a nofollow on banners. Sometimes pages are filled up with ads only.

I have received 100 incoming links to my homepage from sites taken at linkspun. My pagerank never took off. It was always equal to zero. Crazy enough, you will get more quality links by creating forum profiles.
