looking for a website template

hi
I am trying to find a template that will impress the people visiting my site. I want them to be like "whoa, this guy is an amazing web designer"
at the same time, I dont want it to be too flashy because then it will take forever to load.
Something fancy but simple. I have been all over the internet and havent found anything free that i liked. I found a couple that had the potential to be interesting, but they were not free.
any ideas?

Unless your a web designer or have skills customizing then you probably wont find anything that is acceptable for your site. A real web designer thinks outside the box and makes his site meet the requirements that he or she has drawn out in their head. Along with that more people are visiting your site for the content not the look of the site. You have a long road ahead of you Bartman... a long road.

have you tried themeforest? while not free, there are a lot of cheap templates/themes to be found and you could also use them (buy/customize) for future customers as well.

while I agree that content is more important than looks, the site that i am trying to make will be targeting stupid people who care more about looks.

themeforest is a really good template.
