Working on writing my own songs hoping to form a band someday soon!

I'm not too good with lyrics, But I might as well try. Starting a band with my cousin, She's kinda good with lyrics. I'm better with instruments. Would love to help and learn from eachother. We're more into the pop genre though xD

PM with details, I write songs very often, I'm interested
IF you're serious about being a musician you must know that what you create is art. Truly beautiful pieces of art come from personal experiences, emotions, and thoughts. Try writing your own stuff you'll be able to naturally express it with 10000000x more passion, personality, and strength compared to something someone else wrote for you that won't be as relateable.

There was a young women from Brunt, who had a very pleasant smell from her....

I write and collab online all the time. What are your talents?

How to write a song 101

Audience
Audience
AUDIENCE

Unless you are of real genuine talent(most musicians probably are,but the easy way is much more rewarding than the hard way)
Stick to this

(I am not going to spend time reading over this,so it could come out in a mess,I can and have written plenty of songs, and given the fact that their is 9 year old kids with more musical ability than me,the songs have been a success,or an over achievement)
Do Not leave your song drag you down ie.you make some mediocre riff, and all of a sudden youve written a whole song based around some mediocre riff,no matter what you think of it,it sucks get rid of it,
Make sure to learn what notes hit the spine tingle, and unless your a fine singer, what keys you can best achieve those targets in,don't veer off course during the song(and the right spine tingle) if it dont contain any,get rid of it
You NEVER write a song, you right pieces of music, and when you have enough pieces of music you write songs by adding an album worth of pieces together, what pieces go together best,THAT is your song, wine and steak, ham and cheese
Unless your a fine musician, you have to write the song in your head BEFORE you transcribe it to an instrument ie.the musical potential in your brain is far superior to your brains ability to play the same music on another instrument(you might think well I write fantastic solos that I can only achieve by playing around, this is not for you)
Really trust in those silly tunes that just pop in your head,or a rhyme that POPS,like rap is most obvious, its about hitting POPS

AND THE GOLDEN RULE

LESS IS MORE

btw when I said audience, make it easy on the ear,one of those songs you dont have to listen to more than once to really ''Get it'' like Franz Ferdinand Take me out,and where possible write your songs along a marching beat, from the beginning of time, the marching beat has been used to raise peoples spirits as it just pops

and dont worry about your lyrics,if there not good you will be criticised, and badly too,but it will be a great lesson, and your learn what ticks
