Hey!
I'm an Indie Musician. I've been releasing my original music for a few months. I've been trying to grow my Instagram and YouTube for a very long time now (2-3 years) and if I can be honest nothing has worked as yet.

For Instagram:
I've tried everything, from Jarvee to M/S method (couldn't do it successfully) to just random follow/unfollow. I finally ran some IG ads and saw some mild success with it. My followers currently stand at 3600 with an engagement rate of 10%. The follower growth is 0. They only grow when I run IG ads.
For YouTube:
I made a lot of cover songs before I started releasing originals, it helped my gain some traction. I'm about to hit 5k subs soon. I've been experimenting with YouTube Discovery Ads and getting some good results. But again, as soon as I stop ads my subscribers grow very slowly (however, that's still better compared to IG)

The only place I've been able to achieve really good organic growth is Spotify. I'm at 7k monthly listeners right now (hit a peak of 10k in Dec 2020).

So honestly I'm looking for someone who could help me out by telling me what would be the best growth strategy for me now. I've heard reels are a good way to gain some traction on Instagram now. Although, my main priority is to crack the suggested tab on YouTube, I've recently seen many indie artists in my country making it big only through YouTube recommendations. Very mediocre music is running into millions of views through YT recommendations, that is one thing I'd definitely want to crack.
Another thing I'm thinking is to probably focus on Spotify since I'm already getting success there by running "Swipe Up" story ads on Instagram.

You need to get involved in some controversies and then bam! you will be viral , your first opening :D
