Looking for a long term business

Hi,

I'm currently trading Stocks and Options and making a living from it. However, I have a lot of free time and I'm looking to build a long term business.
I could invest about 10.000-20.000$ in it and of course my time. I also have an aged Ebay account if it helps.
I'm only looking to invest my hard earning money and time in a legit and profitable business.

I know a lot of you guys in BHW are professionals in making money and I would like some advices from you. In exchange, if you are interested in trading stocks, I can share my knowledge with you so you can make profit like me.

What are your skills (outside of trading)? Owning an aged ebay isn't anything.
Imo leverage your stocks/options skills and join an affiliate program relevant to it. You do it for a living so you probably already love it and have a wealth of knowledge. Binary options affiliate programs pay out around $200-500+ per sign up. Forex brokers offer similar, if not higher, payouts for their affiliates. I don't know about stocks brokers but they likely have affiliate programs with nice payouts too.
Start a site talking about the top trading methods you know and put up a big banner for "recommended brokerage to get started" which is of course, your affiliate link. You can spin it and offer some sort of high-level counseling/mastermind/training.
 
If you have enough knowledge about trading then why not make it long term business of yours. Many people are dumb and not have much idea about trading (me too) so start teaching offline / online. Create website as OP said and share guides or create private forum and share secretly to paid members only.

Thanks for your reply. The only thing I'm good at is trading and I've been doing it since the past 6 years, it's my only source of income. I forgot to mention that I'm also doing other businesses related to trading, I give private courses and I get paid for my trading signals. It's very hard to become a partner with a stock broker. I know it's much easier with Binary Options/Forex brokers. I never use Binary options/Forex since most of them are scams but I think there's a way to make money from it with Instagram for example. You could post your profits everyday and gain attention by following other people who seems interested in trading. The way to monetize it would be that you can promise your followers to help them out trading those products but they have to open an account with your broker first (with your affiliate link of course). I prefer to use Instagram because I have no skills in SEO/website creation. Any thoughts?
 
Investing large amounts of money in a starting business doesn't necessarily mean it will be profitable. There is no way to be %100 sure that you will make profit, even if you buy established websites/businesses that are already making money. However, with a good business plan and proper researching, you could reduce the risks and maximize your chances of success. Good luck!

The instagram method works. For the website/seo part, you could hire someone to do that stuff for you. Having a site would greatly bolster your credibility & revenue. Seo not mandatory, assuming you're getting traffic from social media: Fb, twitter, insta, even youtube. etc.

That's exactly what I'm thinking about. Starting with an Instagram/Twitter/FB and then if it's working I'll pay someone to build me a good looking website with a landing page.
I have one question, what would be the best way to make people sign up with your affiliate link when you don't have a website? Is it better if you post affiliate link in your Instagram bio for example or it's better to tell your followers to private message you if they are interested in making money trading? I think if you talk with them in private it's a lot of work but I think more people will sign up. Also, since you're getting 100-200$ per sign up, I think it's actually worth it, even if most of them will not sign up. I will be looking for people that are new to trading and I will offer them free coaching and advices. I think it's a win for both of us since they are getting a nice introduction to trading and I'm getting paid for their registration.

I agree with this idea. Make a trading blog. And the subsequent social accounts for it (IG, FB, Twitter). Also make a Youtube channel. Go for the large PPL affiliate offers. There was a journey thread on here about a guy who did this and he made lots of $$$. I think most of his traffic initially came from Youtube, but then he switched to doing FB ads. His username was King something.

Put your aff link behind a shortlink like goo.gl or bit.ly. just be sure the link works once you make it, they sometimes block them. if those two don't work keep looking you will find one that does eventually. You can even try twitter's "t.co" shortlinks.
 
You could build a list of e-mail subscribers and promote your affiliate links via e-mail. This process doesn't require a website, just a capture/landing page. The benefits of building a list are huge.

Interesting. Please send me the journey thread if you find it. My trading partner once told me that he wants to create an educational Youtube channel for new traders. Maybe there's a way to make them sign up with your affiliate link.
