Looking for a Laptop

Really good, but the 3050 won't do it for gaming. You would need at least a 3060 to get great gaming :)

LOL why not? I've had intel and amd, and I can tell you that AMD is no longer the shit processors they were. They work really good. Plus the newest amd processors kick intel's ass.

64 cores and 128 threads.
Intel and AMD are pretty much even at this point. The 12th gen Intel has a nice jump in performance compared to previous gen and beat everything from the 5xxx series from AMD. Now the new CPUs from AMD look promising but Lisa Su said that we'll see an increase in performance by 15% (which isn't that big of a deal tbh, hopefully it's better than that) - don't forget that 13th gen Intel is coming in Q3 this year, so I'm expecting Intel to be ahead still.

Regardless, we're seeing great releases from both sides, you can't go wrong with any of those. AMD is more efficient, Intel is still better in terms of performance but we'll see how things turn around.

Yeah, exactly. But it's not like amd is left far behind, they are just a few steps behind intel and intel knows they can extract a lot more $$$ for those extra steps ahead :D

Yea, Intel users are usually those guys that go all out with the budget and just buy what's the best, they don't care about pricing at all xD

In the pro eSports scene everyone uses Intel due to the higher single threaded performance as numbers matter here.

Laptop will not be used for gaming at all only some simple FB streaming to sell clothing. I know the laptop is probably overkill for that but she received a business donation from the government and she must spend that exact amount on a laptop ($1,500). So at this point should I just go for intel? The price is the same as for the AMD.

Again, thank you for the info everyone, I'll be looking at all the suggestions now.

Oh in that case I would just push for best cpu. Sure, graphics card is good, but for $1500 you can't get a great one.

Yup. 12th Gen Intel or Ryzen 6000, both great choices if they fit your budget. Usually the ASUS TUF is within that price range.

Ryzen 7 or above version can handle any task especially live streaming and video editing. I don't like the intel process because intel is slow as compared to Ryzen. I know intel has a trust factor but you have to spend more on it. Good luck.

My girlfriend has a clothing business and she does live streams on FB to sell clothes. I'll check it out thanks.
Avoid Razer, you are paying a premium for a shitty brand. (laptop-wise)
Ill highly suggest Mac, no matter how much you hate it. (i was too, and now i love it.)

LG Gram 17,
Microsoft Surface Laptop 4,

Can’t go wrong with Apple and their new chips, so I would definitely get the MacBook Pro with Apple silicon for sure!
