Curious to know what other people's off-page SEO strategy consists of. I'm building out a spreadsheet of must-do's and would love others' suggestions on what to add!
For an E-commerce website that I work for I have implemented the following strategies:
1- Regular update on most busy social media platforms as well as YouTube with videos and content pointing to URLs from different parts of the website (different products).
2- I buy advertorials or guest posts on busy niche as well as general authority websites ranging from DR10+ to DR70+.
3- I also sometimes make comments on high authority websites, I usually select .edu sites to do this as after all it's a spammy thing to do.
4- I would buy backlinks to specific pages that I need to rank higher to be placed on other websites footer or nav menu, but the firm that I work for thinks it is too risky. They assume sudden rise to the backlink number would add to the risk of de-ranking.
In the end all of the above comes down to making backlinks and having social media presence.
Yes, depending on the scale of your competition you may be able to use the free version. (if competitors had around 100 or so backlinks you could see them all for free)yeah, no doubt - do you use ahrefs to scope for potential backlinks?
