I need specific features, and need it to run well, with free fix ups if any security changes for disqus. My last coder made a piece of crap that lasted maybe 4 months. I need something stronger because I'm working with a huge site, skype me with your blackhatworld username, or post in this thread, and let's disqus this.

Disqus now requires log in to up vote comment..can somebody confirm this?

Free fixups is not really possible for free generally. It would be like make something, and fixing it for free forever as long as Disqus exist?

Scrapers like that are made for a rate, and fixing is negotiated well as well. Its actually not the coders fault that he needs to fix it up. Its because they simply changed how disqus works, which cant be predicted. I hope that makes some sense :)

I've paid more upfront before to get quality work, with fix ups as security advances. It's not that out there to expect longevity on a tool you bought. The original bot I had made for me sucked horribly, it had issues from the go. The one I have now is much better, and has been working well, any issues it's had with security have been fixed for free.

Plus when a tool is private it should be able to last longer, without 1000's of users leaving footprints the tool should be more stable.

The coder has zero control how the bot is being used or how often the website updates. Higher initial pay in exchange for free updates sounds like a nightmare which will leave one side feeling they got ripped off.

I have been into cases where I coded a pretty cool scrapper for a client, which worked pretty long, and the site made some changes, and to fix it up, I had to recode the work flow of the scrapper.Thats almost same as coding it again. Giving the coder a huge pay may not be the ideal situation here for both the code and the client. Just saying, and really good that you took my points in the right sense.
