Going to be even MORE interesting if this kind of thing really gets traction.
For example, what IF they decide in the future to come after sites like BHW, RS, MF, etc. and seize the .com/.net domain names because they "share" digital products. Even IF it was hosted offshore. Once this starts it's going to snowball to other reasons to control the Net.
Obviously not all countries would agree to the extradition requests but still could be a mess. Would have to start using other domains instead of .com and .net.
The online world is changing and not always for the better.

Yet again the US government trying to rule the entire planet - I would like to see them press for extradition if its legal in the country the person is sat in.

Well people will just start using raw IPs instead of domain names. Harder to remember but that is what bookmarks are for. In the end the likes of verizon will end up losing a lot of money and by extension the tax proceeeds will shrink as well.
The real issue however is that citizens of one country can be delivered just like that to another one. But it's nothing novel. The way the EU is currently, a country can get someone for doing something not prosecuted in a third country. Like an Italian having some shroomies in the Netherlands can be extradited by Italy to Spain for illegal consumption.
It doesn't even require a hearing in front of a judge, just an official request. It's not being reported much but the framework is certainly in place.
