Long vs Short Referral URL

Hey guys. Fristly, I'm fairly new to CB so sorry for the new, so sorry for the newb question.

The product I'm trying to promote on CB has it's standard referral link (resembles a whole heap of characters and is quite long), but the landing page it links to is:

Affiliate SITE/?hop=*CB nickname*

Can I go ahead and use this second, shorter link?


RESOLVED: I used a clickmeter redirect cloaked link. Once the ad was approved I turned off cloaking. PLAIN 301 REDIRECTING WON'T WORK - well, at least for me it didn't.

just use tinyurl to shorten the original link.

Can't do that as I'm using Facebook advertising.

PS, I already have made my own domain that redirects to long link, which redirects to short link. Facebook isn't letting me using this redirect link. So I think it might work if I just go straight to the short link - just wondering if this works.
