I'm a long time lurker finally taking action. Long time as in several years ...

I'm from Germany and work as a SEO consultant. Being a consultant means doing white hat stuff all the time and knowing a lot of technical SEO. Before becoming a SEO consultant I've been working as a web developer. While working as a consultant is generally great, it increasingly means to do management consulting, to convince people to do what is best for them. And very often clients can't implement what I'm telling them. Very frustrating.

So, why I'm here? There is one area of expertise I really suck. And that's link building. I mean, I know the theory and my clients are rather successful following my advice, if and when they follow my advice that is. But building links for my own projects is really difficult to me. That leads to another thing I'm extremely bad in: Taking action. Building sites. Just fucking doing it. Having read a lot of inspiring journeys here on BHW, I've often wanted to start my own projects to build some passive income. But the furthest I've accomplished was to register a domain name.

Now I'm determined to start some projects of my own and to be more successful than to just register a domain name.
