If you cannot write properly, then please leave this thread as you will be wasting both my time and yours
in the nicest way possible - I am after special writers that will write their hearts out to draw users to read
I'm not after packing up keywords into an article, this will be free writing without thinking about seo etc

I'm going to prefer someone in the UK as the articles will be related to technology within the UK,
the writers will build a very smooth portfolio writing for us as well as earn money.

If I think your good enough, you will be tested with 1 article which you will write for NOTHING.
and if you pass the test and you look like a solid writer, get ready for a long term relationship

Thanks for reading & whilst replying please state your country & past experiences you have writing
and why you are best for this job.

I'm game... But the whole "Write 1 Article for NOTHING" thing sounds a bit fishy to me. How about you change it to: "Write one article, and if you're accepted, you get payed for it?"

'Cuz the way you're wording things, seems like you want a bunch of free unique articles.

I agree with this statement but anyone can just say you weren't approved even if your article was brilliant so there is still a flaw.

Maybe if the OP ask for a 200 word example they would be able to gauge whether you were English literate or not!

i used to use this method to get free artciles when i was a noob.

DOES not mean that it is a scam, but "gimme a test article" is to fishy on BHW

Asking for a free sample is not a good practice in my opinion. Samples previously done are more than enough to check a person's capabilities.

the simple way to sort out the "scam" problem is if your not accepted just spam it in loads of places so its worthless to him.

Write an article for nothing ?
Let us suppose 40 people applied and gave you 500 words articles. That is about $200 worth free content for you. This should be posted in the make money thread. :)

People calling it a "scam" or "fishy" are quite simply stupid - it's the way I do business.

Anyone who works with this guy after reading this is quite stupid. If a potential employer shows himself to be a jerk on a public forum, there's no way you want to work with him in private, as he will be 10x worse.

Put simply, it is never a good idea to do spec work if you are serious about being a freelancer. You need to build reputation, and gain respect. You'll never do that by working for free. Give this a guy a sample of your previous work, and if he says that's not good enough, move on. Simple as that. This guy is trying to bully you into doing things his way, but the reality is that webmasters need unique, well written articles really bad right now. You have leverage to negotiate. There are plenty of other website owners who need content and who are willing to pay a real rate for it without the games, or possible scams.
