I have two things I need pushed down. One is an article (from 2008) that was written about me as a coach. The other is a mugshot on a newspaper site from one year ago. Now, I know everyone that has this issue always says they're innocent but I really was. I worked at a dealership and had a demo. I quit to go work for the owners worst enemy (former GM). He called me cussing and I said I will park your car at the Grocery store and you can come get it. Long story short, he said I stole the car and I was arrested for grand theft auto. Charges were later removed but arrested not expunged.
Please advise me

i am not who you are looking for but, have you tried asking the newspaper to take it down? you know, first, explain and ask nicely, and start talking about lawyers and tough stuff if they don't pay attention. nothing to lose trying.

First thing you should do Is try and post as much as good things about you on the top.
The second thing is to create a fake persona with the same name as you. Drown the fish.

There are some options that include a black hat technique (nothing illegal - but very gray area) - I don't want to post it here

What I would do

1 - If you dont have a website, launch a brand and make a business ---OR--- Promote your social profiles

2 - Post news about yourself, to drown all the other articles out

3 - You can reach out yourself and ask the news company to remove the news OR pay the company that does your news posts to reach out, see if it can be removed

4) Be sure to share your news posts across the diff social media platforms

Email the newspaper and I think you are well within your rights to have them take it down.

You could request them and they remove it for free.

Option 2 is you hire some to push it down. I don't have any experience in this but am sure if you post on HAF section there will be some willing to do it.

Totally agree with all the said above. First, try taking the articles down. Then try adding new sites/news/mentions about you that would top of the "wrong" articles.

Are you by chance based in the US? I worked at a PR agency that dealt with several of these "mugshot" cases and depending on the state, there are certain legal actions you can take to get those images removed from the site. North-eastern states (i.e. democratic states) definitely make it far easier than the southern ones.

PR service can help, also request the newspaper to removed the article about you
