Long term investment

Im new to internet marketing, advertising, site building, etc. I really want to get into it as a career but I'm thinking long term. I want to be able to learn enough and put in enough effort to quit my shitty job and support a family. Im 22 and still have my parents to fall back on so the time would be now. I heard that Niche sites are kind of dying out and authority sites are a good long term investment. Now, i know what a niche site is but I'm not sure what an authority site is. I still need to learn a lot about marketing and advertising online and how to earn money from it but I am willing to learn anything I need to know, computers and the internet have always been my strong point and I learn very fast. If anyone has advice, or links to courses to learn what I need to, or even PM or Skype me I'm willing to work with someone even just to learn what I need to. Thanks alot

My understanding is that an authority site is any site that has an "authority" in your niche. So to a certain extent all good authority sites are niches sites but not all niche sites are authority sites.

You earn money the same way adsense along with other cpa or affiliate offers.

To start off I would take the tame to gather some savings and than find a good niche to use.

well i do have some to invest. Like I said, I just want to make sure I invest it in the right thing to make it back and then some. I don't want to spend anything right now, right now what I want to do Is just start my own things and learn how to use adsense, adwords, CPA, and other marketing techniques efficiently. Once I earn a little something on my own and learn how it all works, then ill be sure enough to invest. Right now like 5, 10 bucks experimenting. Any advice and pointers in the right direction are very appreciated

I suggest to keep browsing through the forums, do research on what you want to get into first. Then take action and attack it. Profit.

Yeah that's what I'm doing. So let's say I make a niche site, and make a fb page and YouTube and promote them to drive traffic to my niche site, what would be the best CPA network to use? And would I be able to make money off puttin Adsense on the site too for extra money? And ppc ads, etc? And monetize the YouTube vids I make to drive traffic for some more $?
