market Samurai... i use it and is verry powerful and gives real results not fake result as many others do... but is your choice. I got great keywords using it and ranked well.

I use both. Long tail pro for keyword research and market samurai to check for keyword competition.
(Market samurai is seriously slow when it comes to displaying keywords. But I've found that it shows how many backlinks the top 10 results have far better than long tail pro. It also has some other cool info when researching competition.)

I use market samurai. Yes it's slow, but analyzing your competition is really simple once if you know what to look for.

Hello, i'm interested in some of your opinions about this too software in 2016 
I have both of them, market samurai seems a lot more heavy to use, but i'm having so much trouble with LTP ! i have to re-enter my MOZ api key very often, and the software seems very clunky.
But i love the interface of LTP, very simple to use and understand.
Any advices for the pertinence of those tools in 2016 ? Thanks in advance

I started SEO with Market Samurai, I had good results, but now I'm using only LTP because it's much faster and I can analize many keywords at once!

LTP is basically just keyword planner + mozbar

I've used both (MS: not using it since about 1+ year), and I find LTP lot better, lot-lot faster, more dependable, and more versatile than MS.
I do a lot of daily work on KWs, and I can trust LTP results more than any other KW research tool I've used in my work, and that's a very important factor for me for using LTP -- it has my TRUST.
Finding better KWs with commercial intent (for example) of course needs me to be very knowledgeable about what I want to search. Once I know(!) what to search, LTP helps me in getting there much faster.
I use at least one other third-party tool (not necessary that it also has to be a KW research tool) with LTP though to make it a more complete set for my KW research work.

There's a new keyword research tool around now and it's beating all of the others hands down. It's called Keysearch and I tried the trial version and it's exceptional. Second to this I would say LTP Platinum and then MS. I have both of those and they are very good.

I think both programs have different uses - I love LTP for quickly analyzing a lot of keywords for their estimated difficulty but also MS is really good for getting a better insight into the actual competition and who is ranking for those keywords.
