Long tail Keywords: What is your Search Volume Minimum?

I was curious what your minimum search volume for long tail keywords is.

The reason I ask is because I found a keyword that has basically no competition according to my research tools. The search volume was about 390 per month. The domain authority for the top ten is high, but the page authority for most of them is really low. 8 out of the ten have a PA of 1.

I figure I can probably get this ranked real easy, but is it worth it? I figure it might be simply because of the possibility of getting the page ranked in Google.

Your thoughts on the matter is appreciated.

Have a keywords that can bring you $1000s per lead, so you must do the math for yourself. In my option 390 is good number for most of the niches.

One long tail keyword is nothing. Target 100 different long tail keywords and you'll see results 390 searches is enough IMO (if no/small competition).

300 monthly searches is the minimum for me. However, if I find a keyword that has 100 to 299 monthly searches, and it's a buyer keyword, I would write an article on it.

I would say minimum of 200 searches per month

Interesting, I didn't figure people went after that low a volume, but I guess if you do it enough a trickle turns into a torrent. That's good stuff though, I'm going to continue to do that.

If a keyword is related to product review - at least 100 exact searches per month.
If a keyword is general word and monetizing - at least 1,000 exact searches per month.

For me 390 is really a good number, Yes it is worthy. With that try to figure out more such long tail keywords with 200+ odd searches and work on it, you can see some decent traffic for such keywords. All the best

It really depends on the revenue that you think you might be able to achieve with the keyword.

So, even if a keyword has 100 searches with $10 per lead/sale and you think you can get ranked at #1 for the keyword then do a little calcuation like 100 * 30% * $10 = $300/month

Although, for the above calcuation, you need to have a highly converting keyword + landing page to get 100% conversion rate (impossible imo)

when i check long tail keyword ,i always try to get minimum search volume 500+
