Long tail EMD works good?

Hey fellow BHW expert,
I am curious and would like to know about long tail keyword with EMD. Will this work to get easier ranking? The domain around 25 characters.


Does anyone have any success on long tail exact match domain keyword ranking?

I personally don't like them, because a long tail EMD kinda limits you possibilities to grow a site. They also tend to look very spammy, something that may not be advisable regarding recent news https://www.seroundtable.com/google-spammy-exact-match-domains-23044.html

Based on that article on seroundtable I'd stay away from it even though they specifically had said that they are looking for spammy EMDs. Besides, you don't really need EMD to rank well.

they still work, despite what google says

if you want to quickly rank for a keyword, then emd is the way to go

but yea, it does limit you in terms of building a brand
bc if your website is called www.bestlaptopcovers.com you cant really build much of a brand and it sounds very generic
but i can guarantee you based on branded anchor text that you will rank more quickly for best laptop covers than you would have had you called your website www.coveryourlaptop.com
