hi all,

Just a funny share with all of you:

got my twitter account suspended (created last week)

what I did to get this done:

followed 8 people and sent out 3 tweets within one hour.

I guess it was a stupid thing to do, but I really didnt expect to get suspended after only 3 tweets! besides, only one of them contained a snipurl.

meh...

gotta continue.

Funny, and yet sad...

Was the snipurl the 3rd one? That might be why, though I didn't think that would be against their policy.

Maybe you were running too many accounts at the one time.
 
Not sure if this is a joke or serious thread, but it wasn't from the follows/tweet. It had to be from a bad account created / too many accounts running from same ip. A fresh account created on a fresh,non-abused ip could easily follow 200+ and tweet out 50+ links before ban in 1 day, unless every link was to porn or something illegal/shady.

Have to agree with Kickflip and Raj. Must be something that could have linked this new account to your others.
 
There is definitely something or somethings you're either not aware of or not mentioning here. Not saying you're not telling the truth, just saying the suspension absolutely, positively has to be about more than following 8 and making 3 tweets.
 
I agree that there are underlying factors that haven't been identified.

Try making new accounts on new IP's. I like to make them at various wifi locations as I travel around. Ultimately, they get added to TweetAttacks where I use private proxies, but for creation, I try to mix it up.

Plus, be sure to flesh out the profile with pic, info, new background, etc.
 
thanks for your replies guys! to clarify: I have made only ONE account on twitter, and that was made from one IP. No other accounts were accessed, linked, or created on the same computer/IP address. My account had a profile pic, account info and background changed. That is why I found this extremely odd!

I have contacted twitter to reactivate my account, will let you know how this ends :)

That is funny. Unless there was some sort of Twitter glitch I think the most likely explanation is that someone reported you for spam on Twitter.
