Why do most of the PBN sellers on BHW only include 300 words of content with your link? Isn't that a HUGE footprint?

Is there some kind of BHW guideline that says PBN content must be no more than 300 words? I mean it's 2016, most blogs have at least 500-750 words of content at minimum! Personally, I would like to see a PBN service that offered a minimum of 750 words of content. At least then, I would have a bit trust reading their overly exaggerated graphics.

The PBN or property content length that is more often seen as a negative footprint are posts that are 250 word or less, thus explaining the use of 300+ wd posts. Many press releases also come in at that length.

Yes but a whole network of websites with only 300 words of content? and then each 300 word post contains a "money keyword" to 10 -20 different websites? How natural is that?

C'mon, you're making it too easy for G...
 
You get what you pay for. If you want a nice 1500 word article with multiple keywords and your link inside of it on an strong PBN, you'll have to pay more money. Quality > quantity.

Also, this may send you in to meltdown but the whole notion of a 'footprint' is entirely fictional. Do we know the Google spam algorithm now? Have we met a manual checker?

Nah, people just suppose that they know (not entirely unreasonably) what has got them penalised, they tell others, others repeat it and an echo chamber is formed until 'OMG we need a minimum of 300 or else footprint!' becomes fact...just something to think about. Usually if you ask these same people why a number as arbitrary as 300 words for an article is real, they'll usually come back with something along the lines of 'because Google and money and all seeing eye and smart people...'

Is that how people who make 'real' websites think? 'Oh shit, better make this post about my latest chocolate chip cookie recipe 300 words or I'll get penalised!'. Question everything.

That or make your own high quality 1,000+ word spintax.
 
And its not exactly 300 words every time, somewhat nearby.

You have a point...but I'm referring to a footprint as in a pattern. Meaning if the website was under a manual inspection, whether it be by G or a competitor, it would obviously be determined to be a PBN in less than minute.
 
Certainly if all your links back to your site are from blog posts of around 300 words it may have an impact. I would surely hope that everyone building backlinks understands that you need diversity.

I take the view that unless you're spending decent time and money on a PBN, so custom logos, social media, well written English, specific topics relevant to the overall theme of the blog, blog posts are informational and not gibberish...then by the time you get to manual review stage you're already fucked anyway. You know yourself that you can spot a PBN a mile off, that's without any data that trained reviewers might have, 200 extra words isn't going to save your bacon.

tl;dr - Stay the hell away from public blog networks, give yourself a fighting chance.

You realize that if every post is advertised as being "700 WORDS OR MORE!" it will almost always be around 695 - 710 words every time? That could be a foot print in itself.

People are after the link juice. There's not enough manual reviewers on G to manually review the hundreds of millions of sites on the web. You only have to worry if you go into a highly competitive niche prone to fraudulent practises.

If anything your original post sounds like it came off the tail of you trying to get a seller to give you more than what's stated in the BST and not getting your way.
 
I thing sellers should give buyers on this forum the ability to choose their content length.
 
You get what you pay. Since most of the pbn links sold in the marketplace are cheap, so its normal to have 300 words. If you want quality, be ready to pay more.
 
Its all about making the service affordable, I am sure service providers would be happy to go longer on certain posts for some clients if requested. If you are willing to pay more, you could get even 1000 word posts.

I've seen that talked about. I think I read the thread on making a super article or something. It's called Uber Article? It's having every word with syntax and able to be spun 3-5 times while having every sentence and paragraph with a variation. Something along the lines of {{this|the|one}{sentence|paragraph|line}{would be|could be|should be}{spun|have a variation|able to be spun}} - you get the idea.
 
All the more reason if your looking for top quality to either pay more or nake your own PBN.
 
That is why we should start building our own PBN. In that way you can use more than 1000 words article and do other stuffs to make it look like a real site. This will be more effective.
 
300 words for PBN sites is good enough. If you need more words, pay for the articles too.
