hey , I'm not sure where should I apply this topic , but blackhat sounds like the place for it . So recently I have heard such thing that you can change your computer log somehow to make trial programs work for much longer time than the trial period . I just wanted to ask your opinion on it , is it possible ?

Each software has its own kind of protection. Some are Fort Knox, some are an open beach hut. You can alter the date on on your PC in some cases and run trials for ages.

You can do that for many MANY trial versions. You normally will have to clear out some registry information as the information is not normally just held in normal program files. A program called "resource hacker" may help you with some issues. I believe it's free.

I remember times when just changing Date back did the trick but now it does not work for most but some old fashion programs.
