Lock threads who haven't had a reply for 30 days

    Trying to find a solution for a problem, and closing the thread may be an option...

    It's rather annoying for service providers to reply every 3+ months, opening their doors for new orders for a week, and then for months, not responding to anyone and saying they are closed for orders again.

    It takes away from the quality found in the marketplace and hurts everyone.

    There needs to be some sort of incentive to make providers want to be active in their sales thread, and to answer questions in the thread.

    good idea,
    i found in the marketplace somle threads without a reply from 2 or 3 months , and with some buyers asking ...so close that threads for a while may help those users/buyers

    It's pretty irritating to hire someone as a designer, then go back to hire them for modification 6 months later and they are AWOL with a dead thread.

    if OP not replying than best is to temporary close thread. that's my (NOOB) suggestion.

    Its a great suggestion I think. By just closing the threads so that no other person can post further can also help newbies get information in a particular thread. good idea mate.
