With local listings PC\Mobile isn't the factor. It's still standard ranking, the only issue is with the anticipated high competition.

You can register your businesses\websites in at least Google Places\Map and verify them prior to getting people to rank your sites organically. Look into the Marketplace section under "SEO - Link Building" and find someone to rank your site for desired keywords.

For local listings, I believe one key method is to get your business\site listed regionally in good business listings "getting citations". Being in a smaller country there wasn't anything "locally" for me to do this, and wasn't an issue in the end anyways.

    Thank you for the replay.

you are definitely right regards the competition in the field . but i am living in Houston ,Texas which is not such a small city .in that case should i just check the marketplace for link building ? is that what can give me the advantage in the local listings ? or is there something or somebody that will be able to "help" me with that ?

It's really two tasks, not one.

For local listings you'll need the companies listed in business directories at the very least. It's far easier than Google cross-referencing a "contact us" page at the time it gets crawled. I just *verified* a client with Google Places, and added 20 "local" (country specific) business listings and they're showing up for their area without issue. I believe in Google's eyes, since the business was verified, it provides credence.

From there, to get higher rankings you need high quality backlinking services, as it's a high competition market for major cities, you'll want to ensure that you are targetting the most profitable keywords before you commit to a service.
