Hi All,

first of all I wish that everything is going well with you, as a SEO newbie I wanna know how to target a country in SEO, let's be more clear, my friend is living in Spain he created a website and he wants me to help him in optimizing his website to appear in the first page results on Google Spain, I am living in Egypt, I don't know how to target it

Getting backlinks from spanish domains will help and also if you are using google webmaster tools you can set the targeted audience from there.

I agree with midnight_focus that you need to generate backlinks from Spanish domain and also from your related niche.

You need the TLD to be .es, or a generic top level domain that is geo targeted to Spain in google web master tools; of course using Spanish content on the site is must.

in my experience getting back links from country specific domains makes no difference.

Simply leave backlinks in targetted country domians

Also do SEO on other TLD's too
