Location Matters In SEO

Example : You have each a website for your marketing company located in Bangladesh and also one for San Francisco, it’s more likely in my opinion that Google will rank your content higher for the company in San Francisco rather than the one for Bangladesh.
It is a mystical invisible Google "patriotism" algorithm or something like that perhaps. I don't know that, I'm simply assuming, but it’s an educated opinion based on my observations.
I often see great SEO websites with great SEO content ranking low, in my observation simply because of their location.

You might think, why can I not pretend like I am somewhere else by using all the location related keywords on my website?
Well, don’t forget about your IP, as Google algorithms do judge where your website is located based on your hosting as well.
My solution ; Use US hosting (US IP) and have a US business address on your website.
However, I do realize that the above solution may not practical or suitable or applicable for every one or for every website.

based on my experience this will backfire if you are not serving customers in US. Best option: your IP should be in the same geolocation as to where you want to get ranked for.

There are more variables to determine the users your website is meant to serve.

Even if you use US IP and host your website in the US, the major sites that link to you, your content and social interaction with your website all speak about the users your website is designed to serve.

@fb3003 & @Ley Both of you are correct. The solution is not always applicable. That is why I mentioned :-

Solution may not be applicable for every website. But, in certain cases it is applicable. And ofcourse, yes, there are other variables in SEO.

Changing the IP might sound good, but the consumers have to be in the same location as that of the business or else it might not look natural to search engine algorithms. this could affect you as well

Location generaly doesn't matter... But in case of your income it does matter alot

You can change you IP but depending on the people you want to target, because if the people in the USA can locate your account but you cant provide the service because you are just trying to rank your page using VPN or Proxies just to make it visible.. then that won't work, you need to match your page with your current location.
