hey guys, i recently signed a client from the uk i am based in the u.s as far as running his ads go would i still put united states for the location? what would work better cause im sure u.s has a bigger audience but i still want some of yalls input , thank you in advance.

If your client is based in the UK, start by targeting the UK first for relevant conversions. If the campaign performs well, gradually test the U.S. and other high-converting countries, but only if the client can fulfill orders there efficiently.

I think it depends on your client's wishes. For example, what product does he want to run, in which market, that's something you two should agree on beforehand. Once you agree, set up the account in the time zone of the country you're targeting.

I think this will depend on the client's requirements. For example, what product he wants to run and in what market, those are factors that you both need to clarify and agree on first. Once agreed, you should set up the account according to the time zone of the country you are targeting.

1. If the customer wants to sell products/services in the UK
Running ads in the UK is the best choice because:

Target potential customers in the area where your customer does business.
Higher quality customers because they really have a need.
Helps optimize advertising (Facebook/Google will distribute to the right audience).
➡️ Recommendation: If the product/service is aimed at the UK market, focus only on the UK or combine the UK + some related neighboring countries.

2. If the customer wants to reach the international market (including the US)
Running ads in the US can be more effective, but consider:

The US has a large user base, but advertising costs are higher (CPC, CPM are often more expensive than the UK).
If the product is not suitable for US customers, it can be a waste of budget.
➡️ Recommendation:

If the client wants to expand, they can run A/B testing, dividing the budget between the UK and the US to see which region is more effective.

Consider the potential customer market based on the client's previous data.
3. Optimal approach
Step 1: Ask the customer who their target is? (Location, age, interests, behavior)
Step 2: Run a test campaign with 2 groups of locations (UK vs. US) for 3-7 days
Step 3: Evaluate the ad performance (CPC, CTR, conversion rate) and focus on the most effective market.

You should ask him which country he wants to target.

deciding where to advertise You can test based on your target audience and their service offerings Test campaigns in your customers' locations then expand to other countries

What products do your customers sell and what countries do they operate in? What is the customer base and business size so you can focus on policies that can meet your customers' needs

It depends on the client's target audience. If their business is UK-based and they primarily serve UK customers, then you'd want to target the United Kingdom for theU.S. might get more

However, if the business offers international shipping or services that can be used worldwide, you could test running ads in both the UK and U.S.

You need to target the country according to your customers' requirements.

If your client’s business is UK-based, you should target the UK because the ads will reach the right audience, Facebook optimizes better when the location matches the business, and the cost per click is usually lower. If the business sells internationally and can ship or serve U.S. customers, then targeting the U.S. can work, but it depends on the product or service. If the goal is brand awareness, you can test both markets and see where engagement is better.

If your client is targeting UK customers, you should set the location to the United Kingdom for better relevance and conversions. Running ads in the U.S. might get more reach, but if the offer isn’t relevant to Americans, the leads won’t be valuable. Stick to the UK unless the business serves both markets

If your client is based in the UK, start by targeting the UK first for relevant conversions. If the campaign performs well, gradually test the U.S

If the client is targeting the UK market, set the location in the UK to ensure targeting. A large audience is not as important as a quality customer file. You can test more but optimizing for the right market is still more effective.

If your client is in the UK and wants to advertise to a UK audience, it’s best to set your location to the UK. Advertising in the US only makes sense if their product/service is also aimed at US customers. A larger audience is not as important as reaching the right audience. Have you defined your client’s goals?

It depends on your client’s target audience and business goals:
• If their business is UK-based and serves UK customers → Target the UK
• If they sell products/services internationally (including the US) → Target both the UK & US
• If they want volume and conversions, but the product is location-agnostic → Test both regions and optimize based on performance

Start with the UK (since that’s their market), then experiment with the US if it makes sense for scale.

It is contingent upon the target audience of your client. Running advertisements in the UK would be the ideal course of action if their company is headquartered there and predominantly services UK clients. You may test both, though, if the product or service is appealing to people outside or if they are willing to enter the American market.

It depends on the client's business goals. If their target audience is primarily in the UK, you should set the ad location to the UK to reach relevant users. However, if they offer products or services internationally (including the U.S.), you can target multiple locations but prioritize where their ideal customers are.
