I'm about to start my first offline campaign, and I have all of the details worked out in my head, except for the domain name. My plan: I am going to be promoting a dog training eBook. I have plenty of connections at local veterinary clinics and pet stores, and plan on making (well, probably hiring someone at GAF to make, as my creative designing skills are next to none) an attractive flyer to leave at these places. I'll have no trouble getting these in high-traffic, very targetted areas. I plan on redirecting the domain I choose directly to my affiliate link. My problem: I'm up in the air as far as what type of domain would be better for this. Should I go with something localized such as www. (insertcitynamehere)dogtraining. com *or* would that sound too cheezy? Being as the product's landing page isn't formatted for my city, I am worried that using my city's name in the domain would turn people off because it sounds / looks kind of spammy. Does anyone have any experience with this sort of thing / have any advice to offer?
