After going through hell with my last host and losing website data for several sites, I've been taking the whole "backup your shit or lose it" thing A LOT more serious now. So I started looking into management and backup solutions for my sites. I plan on using infiniteWP to manage and backup my sites but I'd rather not have my only backups on the same server. Kind of defeats the purpose.

So my options are local or cloud? Is there any additional benefits to having a copy of my backups on the cloud?
Which cloud storage would you recommend? Dropbox or GoogleDrive?

For a wordpresswebsite use exportbuddy its the easiest tool i think.

If you search a automated solution with daily backups and serverclient u can PM me.
Also you can vistit my signature to see what I mean.

I like backups under my control.
One in the cloud one in my safe.

For cPanel accounts, I backup to my local computer using Backup Smart.
For backing up my local computer, I use the cloud at Carbonite.

I like both, just in case. Never know what can happen.

If you think that your privacy is important keep local backup :)

I prefer cloud storage. I think it is best and safe method to secure your data. I generally use Open drive to store my momentous data. It is reliable and affordable.

I like & use Google Drive. Very easy & serves the purpose well.

grassyxcloudz,

I would suggest you need to go for CLoud Backup solution if you site has lot of dat to day changes as this can be done automatically.

If you site is static & change once a Month then you go with Local Backup
