Hey all,

Have some questions for you local search gurus and wearer of black hats. I have put together a game plan to try and dominate a local niche for a lead generation campaign. Not sure which way to go on a few things so thought I would reach out to the experts for some opinions and thoughts. Here we go....

1) Would it be better to use a lot of sites across this niche ranking for keywords or one large site targeting them all? If it matters, all leads are going to the same gentleman.

2) Tracking - I need to be able to track the leads coming in so I was gonna have form fill-outs come to me and then forward. No problem here. I'm really more concerned about phone calls. Do I grab a big G telephone number and have them come to me, or is there a better way where I can still pass the calls directly to him and track them?

3) Tracking Number - Citations - If I use a tracking number, how do I put these into my citations? (it would be important to know I don't have a XXXXX business. I will just have sites like plumberdenver or something so I have no address or phone number)

I believe I have other questions, but these would really help me be able to get started and go to work.

Thanks All!

1) Same site if they're the same niche.
2) Callrail
3) Use tracking # in your citations

Do you have your own address? If you use your clients addy for citations w/ your tracking # instead of his own you will mess him up.

No, I don't have my own address which kind of brings up my another dilemma/question. I was hoping to run these as a generic name like plumbingdenver we discussed. How do you get around not really having a name of a company per se listed on the site. Again, just trying to do a lead generation campaign. Thanks for your help.. gonna look at callrail now.

1 Depends on the competition primarily. If it's high competition and there is an adequate search volume for that keyword, I'd do a dedicated site. If it's easy, and not much search volume for individual keywords, I'd do one site. A specific site is really good in niches like plastic surgery since there's so many different types and so many people seraching for those various types (breast implants, rhinoplasty, tummy tuck, etc)

2. I'd recommend CallRail or Analytic Call Tracking.

3. Just use your tracking number with the Citations.

Black Hat methods will condemn a local business to failure and obscurity forever.

More sites = more real estate. I've had local niches where my 3 business fronts have had a combined 2/3 of web results, local listings, videos and Web 2.0's. Get as much visibility as you can.

Also Analytic Call Tracking > Callrail if you plan on doing more than 10 numbers, as the cost goes way down. I have 100+ numbers in ACT, and absolutely love it.

In local seo We select keyword like they used for your local searching. Do forums that containt your country domain.
