Local SEO location pages

For one our websites we are doing location pages for all local towns.

For example

"Sell my house fast (Town_name)
"Sell my house fast Brooklyn"
"Sell my house fast Bronx"
"Sell my house fast Queens"
etc..

If you type in one of these exact phrases "Sell my house fast town name" we are the top of results

But if you are lets say in the town physically and type in "Sell my house fast" we don't rank while our competitors do...

Any advice?

Your competitor's authority is better than yours, so they are ranking over you on those competitive keywords.

If you type in the phrase I.e “sell my house fast Bronx” we are number #1

If you are in the Bronx and type in “sell my house fast” we don’t even show up at all

Are you sure this just has to do with ranking?

sounds like the sites ranking for that location have better local SEO than you, whatever this means... Unfortunately, I'm not good at Local SEO so I wouldn't know what to say besides what I've heard from other forum members who do this stuff, and I think it mostly comes down to having lots of citations, good reviews, localized pages set up for that specific area, that sort of things... Sorry that I don't know more, I'd gladly help you but try to get some NAPs to your local pages from directories / lists in that area, maybe this would help

What about "sell my house fast near me" search from the location bronx.
