I have online magazine for women but it has global visitors, the question is, do I need to focus on Local SEO ?

Unless you pull the majority of your clients locally, there isn't much of a reason to. Unless you liked the links and authority citation sites give.

For Effective Work the site you are working like of Directory and Article Etc should be good enough and all the material used for work should be of Quality..

For local SEO you can follow local sites. like local classified sites etc.

I honestly do not see the point in doing just local SEO. Yes it would be good to have the traffic locally, but I would want to get other traffic as well.

If you have global visitors for your online magazine, best is doing onsite SEO and a high quality link building. There is no point of LOCAL SEO then.

* Do create social pages for your magazine and regularly update them with your posts.

Just Share Pages on G+ and Concentrate on Local SEO too. Purpose of SEO is promoting and generating Traffic, whether it is local or national. try to generate traffic for your website.

doing Local SEO for a magazine would be an overkill. You should try to rank on normal SERP. That has more ROI
