im researching keyword competition for local searches that have very small search results but isee that its very competitive term for ppc? does that mean its harder 2 rank first page? i dnt understand or use ppc just want to rank for the term.

In Adwords -
1-competition metric for search ads competition only , not for organic result !! and high competition = High Price :)
2-it mean many people targeting ads for this keyword, its include all broad, phrase & exact keyword search type.
3-run the ads,get high quality score and ur ad will place within 7 ads

Still u have doubt mean i'm happy to help u
Thank U

ok thx. ranking for local terms (xxx...city) is it really to easy to rank then? like say with a youtube vid or some linkblasts? because its not being searched for by many?

use postal code in location [ Radius targeting or City ads ] and include ur city kw in ur ad heading or description .

Ping me ur details and i will help u

ok thx buyprdomains, let me get this right... i want to rank a review site for say dentists.. my main keyword is (dentist..city) do you mean to include dentist...zip code for other keywords? im not doing ppc or any ad campaigns just using a backlinking tool to try and rank and was wondering how hard it was to rank for a local search term with very low search results.. i was confused cause on traffic travis it said it was low search but very competitive...but thats for ppc, i was confused cause thought that played a part in ranking on 1st page. didnt know it was just about ads.

anyone eles have any thoughts on this
