Local news or General theme Website - Which would you choose?

If you had a choice between a local news site and a site with a general theme - which one would you choose for yourself?

Both are subject to automation, but the general theme is probably easier to maintain because you don't have to post often. Maybe there are people here who run news sites who will share their experience?

With less pressure to maintain continuous updates and more space to create evergreen content that gradually attracts visitors, I would choose the general theme site. If you're not very familiar with the region, local news might be tedious.

I’d go with the general theme site way less grind and easier to automate long term. Local news can burn you out fast unless you’ve got solid systems or a team in place.
