    Dear BHW,

I was just wondering what the relative power of local web addresses are. I live in Ireland, for example, and there are many domians available in Ireland with perfect matches for keywords that are very popular and highly profitable worldwide and that have lofty local monthly searches. However, the URL ends in .ie instead of .com.

Would it be worthwhile investing and performing SEO on these (Available) sites?. for example:

    howtotwitter.ie
    or
    quitalcohol.ie

On a worldwide basis these keywords would be profitable
But is the power of the .com really what brings clicks?

Any thoughts on this would be very much appreciated

    Kind regards,

    Jack :star:

They will rank well in Ireland....with lesser effort....but not well else where! I had the domain name Makemoneyonline(.co.countrycode) - and it did well in the country...but that wasn't really enough - not a huge country. I let it expire in the end. I am a big fan of .com domains for long term success.

Thanks a million for your reply sbw. I have a term with local searches of >135,000 according to google adwords but with a .ie ending, could this be profitable or am i wasting my time?!

    Regards,

    Jack
