Local Domain name

Hiya Folks,
Just wondering what is best for getting ranked on the big googs.

Starting up local web design / services, would it be best to purchase domain like - citywebservices.com.au, companywebservices.com.au or even just company.com.au
Will it even make a difference? Want my own name out there but want best option for getting noticed

If yo want to target locals, then go for local domain name. Of course you can have both -- local and global domain names. Best of both worlds!

citywebservices.com.au, and
Australia(n)WebServices.com.au, and/or
webservices.com.au (if it is available)

CompanyWebServices.com.au will brand it better. But for a new company which has a huge competition and no way and skilled people to counter every opposition quickly, one or two of the first 3 options would be better, imo. You may have it too at a later date. Out of the first 3, see which one gets better success over the year and keep it going.

I will do as you suggested as it sounds like the best way to go about it.

Think of branding at this stage, getting your company name into your domain name would help you gain recognition.

it really depends on u... you can have both in domain name.. u need to sit and think creatively to get a good name with keyword in it.
