Local Business SEO

Hey guys quick question for you. I handle a dozen or so local business websites in my city. What would you recommend the best way to do my article/blog marketing? Someone else handled this for me and I am looking to take it on. Would building a blog for my city and posting articles post on their linking back to the sites be sufficient? I heard posting on article sites doesn't do as good anymore. Any tips or ideas? Thanks!

Most likely this would have minimal impact. You need more link diversity than just articles / blog posts. I recommend browsing the forum as there are many guides such as:
