Any one here have good results lately moving up in the local 7 pack? Are there any black hat techniques that work really well for boosting it?

The old one still works though not absolutely blackhat.
1) Create citations wherever possible
2) Submit your business to all local directories, Yellow pages
3) Submit to review sites and numbers place the important role here(more number of reviews the better)
4) Get google local reviews gradually. Don't go fast your reviews will be disappearing faster than it appeared.
Now I have got a black hat technique. but that's not for everyone. If you think it can work try it.
Prepare the business name as in the local listings and also the address, phone number as full plain text.
blast this as part of your comment while submitting blog comments. It worked really well earlier. now I did not try in past 3+ years. It may very well work now also.
