Decided to take a lucrative hobby legit.
Texas resident who formed an LLC in March 09 in Nevada.
Brick and mortar production facility and office located in TX.
Commerce site goes live in days.
Booked to sell at trade shows and events in other states including OR in 4/09.

1. Do I need to foreign qualify in TX?
2. Which state do I apply for a sales and tax use exemption so I can stop paying taxes on supplies? I purchase vinyl and ink online and in TX.

Any advice, suggestions and/or direction is greatly appreciated.

Yes, you will have sufficient "nexus" in Texas to be considered "transacting business" there. The following link will tell you how to register:

Code:
http://www.sos.state.tx.us/corp/foreign_outofstate.shtml

CyberDilemma: Many thanks for the link. I wish I'd filed in TX. Still...the $700 to foreign qualify is WELL worth it for the peace of mind!

mreleet: Many thanks. Now if I can get a tax advisor to agree with the biz attorney about whether I should file as a C-corp or S-corp.
