I would assume you should use the address that is closest to where you live. Why do you need to use a fake address? Is it for security/safety reasons?

I'm not asking should i use an address close to me, i already got assinged a MA address, im asking when i create the LLC can i still create it in california even though the address says MA?

Where you live at in CA? Just curious because I a from LA.... You should use an accounting firm. That's what we do they can help you and tell you exactly what you need to do vs legal zoom, but to answer your question. You can register an LLC under any address.
