Interesting find over the past few weeks. Both of these niches did amazing a few years ago, thought I would give them another try but with a twist, instead of the usual spam membership ads or content lockers. One thing I noticed? Google wouldn't rank either. They indexed but were nowhere to be found. Not many other sites you would expect to see are ranking either so did some testing:
Eventually I just removed "Watch Online" and "Live Stream" from the titles and content. Both sites ranked after being crawled for their keywords (Example: Show name episode number or Team vs Team). Changed back, both dropped.
Since I've been away from the SEO game for awhile, did google at one point target these type of sites?
