Live in the philipines?

I am from the US - Ohio. And it is looking more and more like I will be moving to the Philippines too. My wife is from Tuao in the Cagayan Valley (Cagayan Province) in northern Luzon. We would like to be near her family.

I was wondering if there is anyone here who has knowledge of the IM experience level of people in northern Luzon? Are there call centers or IM centers in northern Luzon or nearby? I am wondering how difficult it would be to find good people to write and take SEO and Website/Wordpress creation direction (We all know that there are some incredible tools here on BHW but how to use them wisely is the question). I would rather work directly with people. Would it be too much to ask people to move there for work? I guess what I would be looking for is a good initial crew and then we can train people from there.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I love PH! I have 8 people working for me there.. I live in US, and am moving to China. I could not survive without my PH employees. They work hard and are loyal. I have a full time girl who does phone calls for me and VA tasks for $300/month... you cant tell she has an accent at all.
Just as an idea of what they can do for you... I told one of my guys to set up a review site for me... well, he found the products to review, wrote the reviews, set up the website, signed ME up as affiliate, did SEO, and teh site is making me a few $K each month!

I don't have much time to write
some for 3 years. It is dam hard getting good workers. I am a Canadian. I have a great team of people working for me now, but it was hell getting good workers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Believe half what you hear here and only 80% of what you see. Filippinos are very complex in their ways!

Yes I love it here and I love the people who work for me. My days are full. But never, never think you can just go out and hire a group of Filippinos and that's it! And don't even think you are going to get good writers!

Yup mate. Actually $400 is a BIG salary here. Some call center just pay $250-$350. I have a friend in call center at Mall Of Asia who is only earning Php13,000 or close to $277..

@OP. Just like any other places there are also bad guys here. So don't expect that all things will go smoothly..
