Damn, it is been a lot of time, but if you use a proper live chat solution, then you should not experience this problem at all. Of course, your web hosting should also be top of the line and meet all of your requirements. For example, I really like Kayako's customer support live chat, because it is professional, easy to use and many big brands use it. It runs smoothly, so I can recommend it.
