few days back, misses outside in the yard sees 2 cats beating up a tiny field mouse
never seen 1 so small, bout inch tall maybe 1/2 inches long, she scoops it up, brings
it inside and puts it in a bowl with some grass water. bout an hr later she takes it
outside and 2 cats still waiting, i yells OY get ere, she comes back brings it back inside.

forgot to mention they blinded it in 1 eye, cut on its back and cut tail, i said no
he aint gonna back outside, hell ive got 2 cats, 2 hamsters, german shepherd
she says let it go i said what in that shape, poor little critter wont last 5mins .

well 3 days later hes still kicking along - so now he got a new home, call me daft
sentimental but ive always rooted for the little guy, so he got new home and a new
name, Little wiz, 1 cause hes a survivor and 2 he goes round cage like lightening

He must be missing his mom, poorer guy. Leave him if and when he is feeling better :). Those animals are better in their own free atmosphere instead of a gold cage. :)

but right now with a blind eye, mangled tail, cut back, needs all rest little guy can get
plus had we left him, he be dead anyways

Agree, and I suggested if and when he is feeling better. Anyway, you're doing a great job for those cuteies. :)

its the little things we do that matter srb

Good stuff OP, always like to hear others taking care of animals - respect.

Why do you feel like you need to interfere with nature?

wasnt aware i have to justify it? oh i dont. and on planet earth we are all part of nature
just because we sit top of the tree make us no less part of it.
and i have this thing if i see something or some1 being beaten on by some1
bigger dam right ill interfere .

I'd rather be eaten by a cat than be locked in a cage my whole life.

well if ude rather be dead well thats what makes a thinking person a little more responsible
but there always has to be 1 guy with the downer post in a thread.

Cats are evil, toying around with their prey like that. I'd hold to that mouse, I doubt he has much chances if you release him.

When I saw the name of the thread, I thought WizGizmo had a child and came here to congratulate him... oh well, maybe next time.

Wild rodents spend most of their short lives cold, scared, hungry and in pain. This one gets to live like a king in comparison.
In an ideal world, it'd be warm, food would be plentiful and there'd be no predators so they could spend their entire lives scampering around in a field. This one loses the field but gains everything else. I'm sure his little mouse brain is less: "but am I fulfilling my purpose as a mouse?" and more "Yay, food"

This thread is adorable and the world is full of cynics.

way i see it, as little bugger got blinded in 1 eye, cut tail, cut back
with a 2 pronged cat attack, cat went after the mouse, misses went after the cat.
anything beaten that bad still living 4/5 days later deserves a chance.

even my 14year old cat was an abandoned cat, should i have left him to die
as well, when 14years ago the little kitten wondered outside my neighbors
door and for doing only that for 10mins wouldnr let kitten back in,

2 days it sat on bin outside his door crying and the fcking asshole wouldnt let him back in
a dam kitten with curiosity of an open door, 14years later that old cat still
with us. called having a heart, had i left kitten out there, forgot to mention
it was christmas with minus temps that year would have frozen to death.

ahh messing with nature again

just noticed got no teeth yet so its def only week/2 old
misses hand feeding it with warm baby formula
seems to like it

will do when she feeds it in 30 mins

Would like to see more pics also.
I think you done the right thing there ProxyGo.
