Just wanted to give you guys a little update on what's going on. So I got the RTSP thing to work again (just a few param changes), and sent around 5 million views to one of my videos. The next day I woke up and all of them were counted, BUT here is what I also realized:
Thought I should update you guys. There are people that are selling mobile views for very cheap (and some for $9 CPM!). I have completely abandoned mobile views and won't touch it again because it only brings negative impact on your videos. I suggest you try to get real views, and not botted ones! If you are suspecting someone of selling mobile views, stay away.
tl;dr: YouTube is extremely lazy, so instead of actually patching the counter, they patched the impact those views have because it is way easier
- You will not get on most viewed anymore
- You will receive negative impact on your videos
- You might get deindexed sometimes (1 out of 10 times)
- You will lose SEO rankings
- You may or may not be banned, depending which IP you sent the views from (same IP for account and views)
