I own a few autoblogs and I was just curious about people always saying that you have to rewrite / spin the articles and that you have to link back to the original source blah blah blah... Personally I never rewrite / spin anything and I never link back to the original source and I've been doing this for almost a year with no problems at all. I wonder if I'm just lucky or is it quite common?

So, here's what I want to ask:

For your autoblog
1) Do you use rss feed more often or do you rely on other sources (eg yahoo answer, youtube...)?
2) Do you rewrite / spin / translate your original articles?
3) Do you use full rss feed or just excerpts?
4) Do you always link back to the original source?
5) What is your major source of income on those autoblogs? Adsense?
6) How much, on average, is your income per blog per month?

If you're not spinning the content it is considered duplicate content in Go0gle's eyes, that isn't beneficial to your SERP rankings and could possibly get your domain sand-boxed. If you're going to autoblog I'd suggest spinning it with a plug in or desktop software like TBS.

If duplicate content is not linking back to the original source you risk facing legal action although it is not always enforced. Full RSS feeds would be more desirable obviously, and if you're monetizing with Adsense with your current method I'd say you're lucky the account hasn't been banned yet.
