For threads on the marketplace, when the seller offers review copies or giveaways they ask you a lot of times to "hey leave a reply saying 'order submitted'" just to I can keep 'track' of things. Yeah sure. Social influencing and thread bumping at it's best.

In my opinion this is a bit of testing the limits. Some of them are somewhat 'legit' saying "hey leave a reply saying 'REVIEW copy order submitted'" but still a bit too much?

I don't know if anyone else agrees with me but setting some limits for this would, in my opinion, be best but then again it's either impossible or extremely hard to keep track of real orders vs free orders/review orders.

A bit of a rant and maybe nitpicking but just my two cents on this and decided to share my mind.

I’ve had one such experience where the seller had posted a thread in the Service Reviews & Beta Testers Help Wanted section. I reported the PM where they had asked me to post in their main sales thread and it was resolved almost instantly as it goes against the section’s guidelines.

  • Do not ask beta testers to bump or like your main sales thread to claim a review copy.
So, if you haven’t already, report it.

If you’re referring to sellers who announce review copies in their main threads and ask interested members to post below, I see nothing wrong with it.

Just keep click the report button....

As @Yes and @MisterF said, this one is as simple as reporting it since it's already against the section rules.
