started posting on my 14k account again recently only to see i only get like 30 likes per post lol

the first 2 days my vids got like 500-600 views, and now they only get like 40-50views. what happened? did instagram shadow me in those 5 days? not a lot of people unfollowed me so it cant be that.

How do i get my engagement back up? I already try follow/unfollow commenting under big post to get top comment and get engagement but still nothing.

That sounds like a shadow ban to me, but I can't say for sure. If you've been going heavy with interactions, maybe slow down for a bit. I assume the new content matches the niche of the old content?

i looked it up and it seems that im not shadowbanned, if i go on another acocunt and look up the hashtag I can find my post.

Is it normal these days that when you make a post with hashtags that it doesn't get instant likes? I remember 2 years ago or so, you just needed to pust some hashtags and you would get at least 10 likes almost instant.

I'm not sure what your hashtags are, but I try to make sure my hashtags have under 100k followers, that way my posts don't get immediately buried. The easiest way I've found is just to make a good amount of them location specific, but that depends on your niche too.

Probably shadow banned after such a long time of your account being inactive.
But I can see my posts on a different acocunt looking up the hashtag, this cant be a shadow ban or am i wrong?

It's not a shadowban - algorithm just didn't "pick up" you are active again.

Keep posting on normal schedule - the best would be a few times a day but I don't know what your account is about so don't know if it is possible.

Don't use any hashtags for the next 5-7 posts (it helped me).

Engage with comments you get and reply to DMs before posting. My advice is to be active on Instagram (liking, commenting) at least 30 minutes before posting.

I wonder if it matters, but are you on a different connection too? I mean, just to be sure, I would put that account on ice for at least two days and let it, "wake up" so to speak. Still log in and browse around, but take it easy on the interactions. Can't hurt.

edit: Actually, what driulis said

@King45 Could still be a shadow ban with the the pictures not coming up on your follower's feed. Hence it still being a shadowban.

For anyone who is saying it's shadowban - it's not. Shadowban is a form of "punishment" on your account. If it was inactive and you were not botting it before, there is almost no chance for shadowban to affect your account.

Just stay active and you'll be fine. Yes, your followers do not see what you post, but it's NOT because of shadowban - do not look for ways to overcome it since you're not suffering from it (unless, again, you were botting). So, don't look for solutions to problems you do not have ;)

Yes, but it will get better with time. Just stick to what I suggested a few posts above and you'll see in a week or two :)

Can you receive a shadowban of you have done a little f/u. Just for first 2k followers?

@buddhiststudent718 I have seen it with experience that accounts that inactive for long periods of time lose their real followers leaving bots and inactive followers as your followers. Making it look like you may have around 2k followers, but they may be fake followers or inactive ones left only.
