    I'm looking for a site/resource that supplies a list of user agents from REAL people. I know of sites like http://www.user-agents.org/ and http://www.useragentstring.com/, but these contain many outdated/unrealistic user agents.

    And they dont supply a list of, for instance, top 50 most common user agents.

    Is there a site/resource with real user agents, or a top 50 or 100 most common user agents?

    I have about 420,000 unique useragent strings which I've gathered from visitors to my adult dating site over the past year or so (we use it for scammer and bot detection). PM me if you want a copy.

    Ok I used Ericsson's excellent source of user agents & removed (not perfectly) a lot of the "too unique" stuff. This would be a good list for someone say using a vb application, or perl application which connects to a website & wants to appear to be a normal user/surfer.

    Most of the not-so-common user agents....google bot, yahoo slurp, i removed almost all @ symbols.

    Took out the curl, python, lib, stuff as well *but not perfectly*
    (things that look like automated server requests)

    User agents that were extraordinarily long or short. E-mail addresses, & websites that began in http : // w w w. (which could be caught as referrer spam by some sites)

    I however did not remove sites like http:// s i t e .com because there were just too many legit ones that fall into that category.

    What we're left with is an Alphabetized & somewhat cleaner version of Erricson's source for people like me with certain specifications needed for "surfer" traffic.

    I spent about 2 hours on this, hope it comes in handy for you guys out there.

    Why?

    Why bother, when Erricson just posted some 15,000 user agents?

    Then user's like me....spend hours cleaning it up, for specialized use.

    That's what a community is about....sharing info & adding to others contributions with work/time & effort.

    ^ like i did there with Erricson's list, i spent 2-3 hours cleaning it up.....just so more picky users like myself could have a solid list, without having to go through the pain-in-the-ass process of outputting their own stats & cleaning them up.

    Thanks for the great list... Would be also really cool to have a script, that would use the possibilities to display certain user agent (depending on settings).
    For instance:
    mobile_user_agent_probability = 0.1
    firefox_probability = 0.4
    etc..
