Use the search function
And start with social accounts as you can build the profiles and promote your content that way. Also you're in the white hat section and link building is black hat. So promote your content, and outreach to other websites. Otherwise post in the black hat section. But don't before you actually search the forum.

Ikr it should be easy to make newbies use the search bar every time they want to make a new thread, but then instead of new threads we would have a million revived threads.

I thought that building backling manually is white hate. But using automatic script to create links is black hat.

You can set up web 2.0s to promote your content, but actual link building to rank is technically black hat
